Yahoo Finance Mayor of London Sadiq Khan urges Londoners to grab a jab today
Sadiq Khan has made a fresh bid for Londoners to get their coronavirus vaccine on Sunday.
The Mayor of London, 50, hailed the jab as the “best weapon” against Covid-19 in a tweet to his 1.1million followers.
Alongside a graph, he wrote: “Hospital admissions in England would be four times higher now if people weren’t having the jab.
“The vaccine really is the best weapon we have in beating COVID-19. Now is not the time to put the brakes on - walk in or book your jab today. -#GrabAJab.”

Across the UK, 84,938,000 vaccines have been rolled out.
Of those doses, 46,811,298 were first doses administered to Britons while 38,126,702 were second jabs.
His words of encouragement comes as Deliveroo and Uber unveiled plans to offer discounted meals to customers who get a coronavirus jab to boost the vaccine uptake.
Uber, Bolt, Deliveroo and Pizza Pilgrims lead the brands who plan to put discounts on the table in a bid to encourage more younger people to get vaccinated.
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) revealed taxi app firm Uber will send text reminders to users to urge them to get the jab.
Pregnant women were also being urged to get vaccinated after it emerged 99 per cent who were hospitalised with Covid had not had the jab.
Researchers at Oxford University described the findings as “concerning” as they lifted the lid on the fact one in 10 pregnant women admitted to hospital with coronavirus symptoms requires intensive care.
