Manchester City XI vs West Brom: Confirmed team news, predicted starting lineup, latest injury list for today

 (ES Composite)
(ES Composite)

Manchester City will have to continue their assault on the Premier League title without Kevin De Bruyne when they meet West Brom this evening.

The influential midfielder is out until next month with a hamstring injury, and joins Sergio Aguero, who has returned a positive Covid test, and Nathan Ake on the sidelines.

Kyle Walker is in contention to return after missing the win over Cheltenham in the FA Cup, and could line up alongside John Stones and Ruben Dias at the back. Oleksandr Zinchenko should start at left-back.

In De Bruyne's absence, Phil Foden may take a deeper role, allowing the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva or Ferran Torres to make the front three.

Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling should start.

City are in a strong run of form having won their last six Premier League matches since a draw with West Brom in December.

Guardiola said: "The results give you an incredible boost, an incredible confidence. What is first - do results make you play good, or do you play good if you get results?

"I think both are connected but we are just at the end of January, so it is just West Brom, trying to analyse them and make a good game to get another victory."

Manchester City predicted XI (4-3-3-): Ederson, Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Zinchenko, Rodri, Gundogan, Foden, Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling
