In The Know is proud to celebrate women-owned businesses. During Women’s History Month, our team will highlight a new women-owned business each day. We encourage you to support today and beyond.

These days, it’s not just Dyson and T3 making high-quality styling tools. If you’re looking for an easier and more efficient way to do your hair that doesn’t involve fussy cords, Lunata Beauty may be your next solution.

Founded by Monica Abramov and Stacey Boguslavskaya, the female-owned hair company offers a line of sleek hair tools and products to style and condition your hair. From shampoo to straighteners, there is a slew of goodies to give you a salon-worthy look.

But ultimately, it’s the brand’s selection of cordless hair tools that sets it apart. In fact, all Lunata styling devices are cordless and battery-operated, which makes them perfect to take with you on-the-go.

The ability to do your hair from anywhere and away from an outlet is something that the founders truly value. Growing up, the women spent a lot time traveling and styling their hair on the road.

“We blew a few irons on international trips, did our hair in hotel hallways due to lack of plugs and have endured the frustration of countless hours spent trying to untangle our hair tools,” they stated on the company’s website. “We started to value convenience and speed, while not wanting to sacrifice the look of our hair.”

Lunata currently offers a handful of tools for styling, including this popular curling wand to give you some beach-y waves. Although a bit pricey at $250, you do get a lot of bang for your buck. Made with titanium barrel, the device has a removable clip that instantly turns it into a traditional curling iron. Moreover, it comes with a removable battery and heats up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

As a bonus, each styling tool has dual voltage for your next jet-setting adventure and lasts 45 minutes on one charge.
