Lizzo surprises her mom with incredible Christmas gift: ‘So amazing of you’

Lizzo did what so many kids dream of doing for their parents and surprised her mom with a brand new car for Christmas.

The 32-year-old “Truth Hurts” singer left her mother, Shari Johnson-Jefferson, stunned with a new Audi SUV. She shared a video of the magical moment on Instagram and TikTok.

“Got my mommy a brand new Audi for X-mas. I remember crying in my car when my daddy passed, no job, no money nowhere to live, wishing I could one day provide for my family,” Lizzo said in the Instagram caption. “I couldn’t do it for my dad so Imma make sure I spoil Mama. Happy holidays y’all.”

In the video, the Grammy winner led her mom out to the driveway with her eyes closed. When Johnson-Jefferson opened them, there was a car wrapped in a bow waiting. The mother was brought to tears by the sweet Christmas gift.

“Oh my God,” Johnson-Jefferson squealed in excitement. “You see these things on television but you never think this could happen to yourself.”

TikTok users shared their support for Lizzo in the comment section.

“I’m smiling so hard,” one user wrote.

“Her reaction! So amazing of you to do this for her,” another said.

“That’s a beautiful thing to do for your mom!” a third person added.

Earlier this year, Lizzo discussed her father’s death on CBS This Morning.

“I kind of really gave up. I was depressed. I didn’t have a purpose, like I didn’t feel like I had a purpose for being a musician or anything,” Lizzo told CBS This Morning. “I used everything that happened to me and made myself stronger.”
