Is Liverpool vs Real Madrid on TV tonight? Kick-off time, channel and how to watch Champions League quarter-final
Liverpool welcome Real Madrid to Anfield tonight as they attempt to pull off another momentous Champions League comeback.
Jurgen Klopp’s side trail 3-1 after Madrid dominated the quarter-final first leg in Valdebebas, targeting Liverpool’s makeshift centre-back pairing while Toni Kroos took advantage of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s urgency to get forward.
Liverpool will draw confidence from their heroic performance against Barcelona two years ago, however, full-back Andrew Robertson admits the task will only be made harder by the absence of fans at Anfield. “The Barca game, it’s no secret, it wouldn’t be possible without the fans,” he said. “They made us feel 10 feet tall. Walking out to 54,000 people who believe, it gave us the extra 5%. We need to create the atmosphere before we go and on the pitch. We need to have no regrets.”
Madrid are in high spirits having defeated Barcelona in El Clasico last weekend to significantly bolster their hopes of clinching the La Liga title this season, although they do have an injury crisis of their own to contend with.

Prediction
Despite Liverpool’s tendency to rise to the big occasion, their long-standing injury issues and lack of confidence may mean another heroic comeback is beyond them. With the Reds’ defence decidedly vulnerable, Madrid will always be dangerous and a goal might yet be enough to clinch the tie on aggregate. Liverpool 2-1 Madrid (3-4 agg.)
