Little girl begs mom to shop online so she can sign with her favorite delivery driver: ‘The world needs love like this’

A girl’s sweet relationship with her favorite delivery driver is touching hearts around the world — and inspiring people to spread love in small, everyday ways.

Mom Amy Roberts (@mummybear1903) received over 24 million views, 57,000 likes and 8,500 retweets when she posted the heartwarming footage to her Twitter.

We’ve seen delivery drivers share emotional moments with families on their routes before — like this UPS driver who was shocked to receive her own special Amazon package from the little boy who adores her, or this driver who hilariously interrupted a wife’s shopping prank on her unsuspecting husband.

But this sweet moment shared between little Tallulah and her Hermes Parcels delivery man is affecting people in a very special way.

Taking a long flight home for the holidays? Here are some hacks to make your journey bearable

In her Twitter thread, Amy explains that little Tallulah and their Hermes Parcels delivery man developed a very special bond during lockdown.

“We see him one or two times a week… Tallulah drew him a #thankyou… He still has it proudly on show in his van. They have built up quite a friendship over these last few weeks,” her caption reads.

“They always have their little sign language conversations, so cute. Tallulah’s always asking me, ‘Have you bought anything Mum? Is MY friend coming today?'” Amy added in the comments.

Now, Tallulah’s small but touching efforts to make another human’s day brighter is inspiring others around the world to follow in her footsteps.

In response to Amy’s sweet video, comments came pouring in from Twitter users around the world.

“Doesn’t take much to be kind and friendly… But some find it so hard to do. Thank you Tallulah, this has put a smile on my face. You must be one proud mother, Amy,” one Twitter user wrote.

“Absolutely love this. Young people are so amazing and uncluttered with other peoples’ opinions and take people at face value. A lesson for us all,” wrote another user.

“This actually made me cry. Very reassuring to know there are still lovely people out there,” another user replied.

“How the world should be: everyone getting along,” commented another user.

“This is precious. The world needs love like this,” wrote another user.

“He comes to us too, and [our son also] uses sign [language] with him. His face lights up when we make the effort to sign to him. Such a lovely man,” another user commented.

While Amy’s video is only 16 seconds long, it proves just how impactful a little kindness can be — and how simple it is to make the world a brighter place.

As Amy reminds us in a comment on her now-viral thread, “In a world where you can be anything, #BeKind.”
