Yahoo Finance Lamar Jackson once again lobbies for Ravens to sign Antonio Brown: 'I'm still hoping'
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has made it no secret he wants his team to sign Antonio Brown. Jackson — who made comments in support of signing Brown in July — reiterated his desire to bring Brown in Wednesday.
Jackson, 23, told ESPN he’s “still hoping” the team signs Brown.

Jackson worked out with the 32-year-old Brown in the offseason. Jackson came away impressed following those throwing sessions, and has lobbied for the Ravens to sign Brown since then.
Will NFL allow Antonio Brown to sign with the Ravens?
Brown is in NFL limbo after his brief appearance with the New England Patriots last season. Brown played one game with the team before the Patriots cut Brown amid rape and sexual misconduct allegations.
In September, the NFL released a statement stating Brown would be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list if he signed with any team. No team took that risk.
In January, Brown was arrested after an incident with a delivery driver. Brown was charged with felony burglary conveyance, misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor criminal mischief. He pleaded no contest and was sentenced to two years probation.
The NFL has not stated whether it still intends to place Brown on the commissioner’s exempt list if he signs with a team in 2020. At the Super Bowl, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league wanted to work to get Brown “on the right track.”
Does Antonio Brown even want to play football?
Brown has gone back and forth on whether he wants to continue playing in the NFL. On July 20, Brown tweeted out an apparent retirement note stating, “The risk is bigger than the reward. Thank you everyone who [has] been a part of this journey.” It was the second time Brown appeared to retire from the NFL. He sent out a similar tweet last September.
On July 22, Brown reversed course, saying he’s done everything the NFL has asked, and wants the league to close its investigation so he can sign with a team.
The league has not publicly commented on Brown’s status, though could be forced to take action if interest in Brown picks up now that players are reporting to training camp.
