Stanford student Sameer Jha hasn’t even graduated yet, but they’ve already founded a nonprofit. The Empathy Alliance is dedicated to ending the bullying of LGBTQIA+ students across the U.S. The group works with educators, student leaders and parents to develop initiatives and promote changes across school policies and curriculums. Jha won the 2020 Voices of the Year award and has a book out called Read This, Save Lives, which they wrote when they were 16 years old.
