Back when he was 17, Jelani Aryeh posted in Brockhampton, Frank Ocean and Odd Future subreddits to see if anyone else on the forum would be interested in starting a music collective. That’s how Raised By The Internet was formed, based around Aryeh’s continued desire to make music that inspires other people his age to create something of their own. In the years since, the artist, who said that he takes inspiration from ’70s psych rock, has released an EP, Helvetica, and several one-off singles that have garnered him nearly 45 million streams. Jelani Aryeh has been covered by the likes of Rolling Stone and Complex, and he’ll release his next single, “Marigold,” in March.
