Knicks C Mitchell Robinson to miss 4-6 weeks after hand surgery

Mitchell Robinson will reportedly miss 4-6 weeks after fracturing his hand on Friday, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The New York Knicks center exited a game against the Washington Wizards at halftime, and the Knicks soon announced that X-rays had revealed the bad news.

Robinson was re-evaluated Saturday in New York, where it was determined he would undergo surgery and on his fourth metacarpal.

Robinson has been having another solid year in the paint for the Knicks, averaging 8.4 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 65.3 percent from the field. He was having an especially strong game at the time of his injury, exiting with 10 points and 14 rebounds.

In Robinson's absence, the Knicks will likely turn to Nerlens Noel to fill in most of the center minutes, though going small with Julius Randle at the 5 could be another option.
