Kim Kardashian finally drops “Kimono” label
Since the launch of her “Kimono Solutionwear” shapewear brand just last week, Kim Kardashian West has faced critics daily.
One of those critics was the mayor of Japan himself, Daisaku Kadokawa, who asked Kardashian West to “reconsider” her use of the word “Kimono” to allow the word to be shared, and not monopolised.

But, while Kardashian West told The New York Times last week she would not be changing the brand name, it seems calls for the name to be dropped haven’t actually fallen on deaf ears.
Just last night, the reality star announced on her Instagram that she intended to drop the name, and re-launch Solutionwear with a new label.
Kardashian West told her fans she was “always listening, learning and growing”, and appreciated “the passion and varied perspectives” brought to her.
“My brands and products are built with inclusivity and diversity at their core and after careful thought and consideration, I will be launching my Solutionwear brand under a new name.”
“I will be in touch soon. Thank you for your understanding and support always.”
Fans have responded positively to the news on Twitter.
Thank you for your understanding how we love and proud of Japanese traditional Kimono. I think your Solutionwear is good idea. I wish you success.
