Kelly Clarkson and 'The Voice' Fans Have Very Strong Feelings About Her New Project

Ready or not, Kelly Clarkson is bringing the holiday cheer a little early this year.

After teasing her new holiday-themed single "Christmas Isn't Canceled (Just You)," The Voice coach officially released the tune as the first song on her upcoming album "When Christmas Comes Around..." The 15-track record is hitting shelves on October 15, not a day too soon for Christmas lovers and Kelly fans alike.

The American Idol alum excitedly shared the news September 23 on Instagram with an animated lyrics music video. The four-minute clip featured Kelly surrounded by snowy Christmas trees, colorfully lit homes and piles of presents. Upon announcing her new festive jingle, the 39-year-old mother of two offered insight into her creative process, specifically why the album's name called out to her.

“My purpose for choosing this lyric as the title of this project was to bring forth a sense of reality to the fact that we are probably in very different places emotionally ‘When Christmas Comes Around...’” she wrote.

She continued: “Some of us are consumed with a new love, some of us reminded of loss, some filled with optimism for the coming new year, others elated for some much deserved time away from the chaos our work lives can sometimes bring us. Wherever you are, and whatever you may be experiencing, I wanted everyone to be able to connect to a message on this album.”

“Each year you may even have a new favorite depending on where you are in your life, but while change can be unpredictable there is no better time of year, in my opinion, to breathe hope into one’s life and let possibility wander,” Kelly concluded.

Needless to say, Kelly’s fans instantly flooded the comments section with celebratory messages about the highly anticipated album. “Absolutely love this! And I can’t wait for the whole album 😍😍😍,” one person wrote. “OBSESSED 😍,” another added. “Amazing, I love the message! I’m so excited!!!” a different fan said. “Sounds like a perfect song for a Hallmark Christmas movie! ❤️,” a follower commented.

Much like with her previous Instagram posts, where she gave folks a preview of the lyrics, many speculated if the song is about her ex Brandon Blackstock. Kelly hasn’t confirmed or denied these rumors, but it sounds like it'll be a memorable collection. Comprised of both original tune and holiday covers, the singer-songwriter collaborated with fellow Voice coach Ariana Grande, Chris Stapleton and Brett Eldredge for the album.

Until October 15, we'll just be here playing "Christmas Isn't Canceled (Just You)" on repeat!
