Keenan Allen calls out Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and all AFC West receivers over NFL top 100 players ranking

Being named the 77th best football player in the entire NFL is a pretty cool deal. It means you’re comfortably among the top 100 football players in the world.

It wasn’t enough for Keenan Allen, and he wanted everyone to know who he should have been ahead of.

The Los Angeles Chargers receiver was mad that he checked in at 77th on the NFL Network’s annual top 100 list and he aired out his grievances on Twitter, saying he was better than Mike Evans and Chris Godwin of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tyreek Hill of the Kansas City Chiefs and every receiver in the AFC West. Among others.

Keenan Allen was mad

Players complain about things like top 100 rankings or Madden ratings, they usually just don’t call out others when they do.

Evans seemed amused, especially since Allen was yelling at the wrong Twitter account when it came to Godwin.

Later Godwin tweeted “Don’t sweat it G, Chris Goodwin ain’t better than me either,” with some laughing emojis.

Allen is one of NFL’s best

Allen has made three straight Pro Bowls, reaching at least 97 catches and 1,193 yards each season. He is one of the NFL’s best, thought Evans, Godwin and Hill also are. All of them belong on the list. The order can be debated.

Whether or not Allen got slighted in the top 100 countdown, it’s fun to see some lively trash talk in the NFL. Because it’s pretty rare.

If this is the type of thing we’re going to get out of the NFL Network’s annual list, then maybe it’s worthwhile after all.
