JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT TALKS PORN ADDICTION AND SCARLETT JOHANSSON

As Joseph Gordon-Levitt has found out, if you're on the promo trail for a movie about a guy obsessed with porn (who happens to be dating a girl obsessed with romantic comedies), aka his latest film 'Don Jon', it stands to reason that the topic of porn is, ahem, up for discussion.

In a candid new interview with Men's Health magazine, the actor was questioned about his own attitude towards the x-rated materials given his character is addicted to it in the movie.
"Porn’s fine," he said. "I’m aware that it can be hateful toward women. It can be addictive. It can get ugly. But it’s only damaging if you allow it to be."

Funnily enough, Gordon-Levitt, who starred, wrote and directed the film, also just happened to cast the subject of many a straight man's sexual fantasies, Scarlett Johansson.
The idea of casting Scar-Jo as the stunning girl obsessed with rom-com movies (the arch nemesis of the x-rated film) in the part was one he'd harboured long before meeting the star.

"I didn’t know Scarlett, but I spent more than a year with the image of her in my head playing this character," he said, adding: "She couldn’t not do this."
And while Gordon-Levitt is well aware of how attractive the actress is, it was more than just her looks that landed her the role.
“Scarlett is a gorgeous, gorgeous woman, but if you just compare purely physical features, plenty of girls are just as gorgeous,” he explains. ”But she creates this extra something. It’s in her walk, her eye contact. The total package is just off the charts.”
