Jetstar drops New Zealand flight sale: From $159

Thinking of taking a trip across the ditch? Well, now could be the perfect time with Jetstar slashing airfares to destinations across New Zealand.

The budget airline is offering flights starting from as little as $159 one way, with travel dates ranging from October 2023 to mid-June 2024.

Sydneysiders can escape to Auckland for $159 one-way, while Melburnians can visit Christchurch in the South Island for just $169 one way.

There are also deals on offer for Queenslanders, including Brisbane to Auckland from $169 one way, and Gold Coast to Wellington from $174 one way.

But you’ll need to be quick. Jetstar’s New Zealand Sale is running now until midnight on Monday, September 11, 2023, unless sold out prior.

$0 tickets for 24 hours

Jetstar isn’t the only budget airline running an international sale right now. Vietnam’s low-cost airline Vietjet is offering up millions of $0 fares for this Saturday for 24 hours only.

If you’re wondering how that is even possible, it does come with an important catch. While travellers can pay nothing for the fares themselves, they will have to pay for the corresponding taxes and surcharges.

Travellers can fly from Australia to destinations within Vietnam, as well as flights to Bali, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan and South Korea.

The $0 tickets will be available for flights between September 18, 2023 and March 31, 2024. They can be purchased online from 3:00am AEST on Saturday, September 9.
