Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has been arrested following an allegation of domestic violence.

The reality TV star, who appeared on the show from 2009 to 2012, was arrested on Thursday (22 April) in Playa del Rey, Los Angeles, police told The Hollywood Reporter.

They stated that Ortiz-Magro, 35, was arrested on suspicion of violating a California law regarding violence against intimate partners. No details of the other person involved were given.

He was later released after his $100,000 (£72,000) bail was made.

The TV personality was previously arrested in October 2019 and charged with felony domestic violence following a physical altercation with his then-girlfriend and the mother of his child, Jen Harley.

He pleaded no contest to domestic battery and resisting arrest and remains on probation from that case.

Ortiz-Magro’s legal representatives told TMZ: “We have just learned of the new allegations against Ronnie and need some additional time to further investigate. As such, we will not be making any other statements at this time.”
