When people think about diving into traditional dishes, how it impacts the planet isn’t necessarily front of mind. Iya Foods though is expanding authentic African flavors while maintaining a social responsibility to the planet and your bodies.

Where Iya Foods differs from others is its Whole Foods powders. The brand founded by Toyin Kolawole started because she is looking for a way for her and her family to stay true it’s Nigerian, West African roots while also providing more nourishing ingredients.

“I started adding ingredients that I loved and grew up with in Nigeria such as Cassava Flour to my everyday American recipes and it just worked,” Kolawole told The Black Owned Business Box Magazine. “As a result, a lot of our products have a strong connection to African food culture.”

Iya Foods carries everything including flours and baking mixes, whole food powders, seasonings and spices. Plus, the brand even offers its customers a bunch of different recipes to help you unpack the world of Iya Foods. Not to mention, there are even some recipes by the founder herself. Shoppers can enjoy their own Jollof Rice Seasoning at home. Additionally, the brand carries its own plantain flour to make plantains in your kitchen. You can even snag the sweet and savory coconut seasoning from the brand. There are so many different ways to cook with this brand, so get to supporting and experimenting in your kitchen.
