IPO Edge’s Jannarone on Cheddar TV: Legere is High Potential, But Risky Choice for WeWork

T-Mobile US, Inc. CEO John Legere has some leadership qualities that could help him turn WeWork around, but he also comes with little experience in real estate, indicating he’s a risky choice. That’s according to IPO Edge Editor-in-Chief John Jannarone, who spoke to Cheddar TV in an interview available here. Jannarone pointed out that WeWork’s core business of leasing out workspace might be better suited to someone who worked for an office REIT such as Boston Properties, Inc., Kilroy Realty Corporation, or SL Green Reality Corp. That said, Legere has staged an impressive turnaround at T-Mobile and is extremely popular with staff, something WeWork desperately needs to boost morale.
