While you were casually browsing Instagram, checking out photos of celebrities and influencers, they were likely getting richer with every follow request, like and comment.
Social media marketing management platform Hopper has released its 2021 Instagram Rich List, and it seems while a picture is worth a thousand words, it can also add up to a lot of money.
Each paid post rakes in millions for some of the most influential people on Insta and several factors determine their earnings, such as the number of followers/subscribers they have, the endorsement offers they get, engagement of people who follow them, production costs, their track record, etc.

Although 56 of the 100 highest-earning Instagram influencers in 2021 were female, the top earner was male.
At least 11 Aussies are on the full list of 395 influencers, but did any of them make it to the top 10?
