A four-bedroom blue and white beach house in Rye, Victoria, was the most clicked on property of the week and is going to auction today for around $700,000 to $770,000.

Data from realestate.com.au showed that the newly renovated home, which is described as the perfect property for someone looking for a beach getaway or ideal for a first home, was the most popular property this last week.

It is only a three minute drive from both Rye Beach and White Beach, and is also located near Woolworths, a selection of shops and restaurants.

It’s boasting four bedrooms, two bathrooms and enough space to accommodate two cars.

The listing describes it as charming and comfortable with a large kitchen featuring stone benches and timber floors.

It even has a separate self-contained living space with a small kitchen and bathroom for guests, or even as a home office.

Located on the lower level, the separate area has polished concrete floors and could even potentially be used to generate some additional rental income.

Other four bedroom homes in Rye that have sold over the last week have gone for between $1.3 million and $2.2 million.

More Aussies have been looking outside of the capital cities as remote work became more common as a result of the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Recent NAB research found that having a home office is now one of the most important factors when buying a home.

The research also found homes outside of capital cities is also becoming a more prominent factor, as people are no longer restrained by having to be close to the office.

And, this beautiful beach house seems to be just what people are looking for having taken out the top spot for most viewed property of the week.
