The latest Mozo People's Choice Awards have been released, revealing Australia's most satisfying brands, services and products across banking, insurance, energy, telecommunications and more.

More than 3,800 Australians took part in the latest national survey, with consumers rating providers on everything from customer service to trustworthiness and overall satisfaction.

Bank Australia, Heritage Bank, Greater Bank, ING and digital deposit taker Up all scored awards for outstanding customer satisfaction in banking, while state motoring associations and specialist insurers like NRMA, RACQ, RACV, RAC and APIA dominated the car and home insurance categories.

Industry private health insurers like Teachers Health, Defence Health and CBHS Corporate were also big winners, taking out three or more categories each.

US tech giant PayPal snuck up on the buy-now-pay-later category, notably the only company in the sector to win an award for outstanding customer satisfaction, while Afterpay fell behind. The Aussie company was recognised for its range of retailers only.

Meanwhile, upstarts in energy and telecommunications - like Red Energy, Aussie Broadband and AldiMobile - also made waves, all scooping up awards for outstanding customer satisfaction. Exetel and iiNet also received awards for their internet offerings, as did discount telcos Amaysim and Woolworths Mobile.

AJ Duncanson, Mozo Data director and People's Choice Awards adjudicator said the awards were special because Aussie consumers chose the victors.

"What separates these awards from other industry awards - and makes them so highly sought-after among providers - is that the winners are chosen by real customers who use their services every day," he said.

"As well as overall satisfaction, we also confer awards based on ratings of trust, service, key product features, and whether customers would recommend the brand to others.

"A Mozo People's Choice Awards badge not only gives recognition to providers that are delivering on these important aspects, but it is also a symbol of trust for consumers in guiding them to make more informed purchasing decisions."
