Tanga Resources Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Notably, that recent purchase by Andrew Pardey is the biggest insider purchase of Tanga Resources shares that we've seen in the last year. Even though the purchase was made at a significantly lower price than the recent price (AU$0.048), we still think insider buying is a positive. Because the shares were purchased at a lower price, this particular buy doesn't tell us much about how insiders feel about the current share price.

Insider Ownership of Tanga Resources

Many investors like to check how much of a company is owned by insiders. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership. While this is a strong but not outstanding level of insider ownership, it's enough to indicate some alignment between management and smaller shareholders.

So What Does This Data Suggest About Tanga Resources Insiders?

It's certainly positive to see the recent insider purchases. And an analysis of the transactions over the last year also gives us confidence. However, we note that the company didn't make a profit over the last twelve months, which makes us cautious. Given that insiders also own a fair bit of Tanga Resources we think they are probably pretty confident of a bright future.
