Man's 30th anniversary fail leaves wife devastated: 'You can't recover from that'

Weddings can be the most memorable day of a person’s life, so it’s nice to keep a record of what happened that day to commemorate all those tiny, precious details.

TikTok user @romijessmaya said their mom was looking forward to re-watching her wedding day video in honor of her anniversary with her husband — but there was a catch that left her devastated.

The clip shows the bride and groom walking arm in arm, but before they make it down the aisle, the footage cuts to a scene from a TV show in which a police officer pulls out a gun.

The user then cuts to their dad, whose head is in his hands.

In less than a month, the video racked up more than 14 million views and 2.7 million likes.

Commenters had a field day with the post. Some mused that the husband had purposefully taped over the wedding ceremony, and others thought it was a classic dad mistake.

“That was definitely on purpose,” one user wrote.

“This is the most dad thing I’ve ever witnessed,” another said.

“ You can’t recover from that,” a third replied.

Responding to one of the comments, @romijessmaya clarified that their mom was “upset but got over it.”

“Worse things in life to be upset about,” they said.
