Husband accuses wife of ‘stealing’ from him to give groceries to her sister: ‘She is a thief’

A husband angered his wife when he took back groceries she gave to her sister.

He asked Reddit’s “Am I the A******? (AITA)” forum for advice after the incident. He discovered his wife was secretly using their joint bank account to buy her sister, a mother of four, hundreds of dollars of groceries a month.

His issue is that the sister and her husband only work 36 hours a week between them. They also spend money on lavish vacations and new cars. He doesn’t see them as being in need so much as making bad financial decisions.

He and his wife bought a butchered cow for $4,000. Then on the security cameras, he noticed her leaving home with 40 to 50 pounds of beef. He confronted her, and she admitted to taking the meat to her sister’s house.

So he drove to her sister’s place, took the beef out of their freezer and went home.

“My wife yelled at me saying she couldn’t believe how selfish I was and that SIL called her crying,” he wrote. “She also said that she paid for half of it and so she could do whatever she liked with it.”

Redditors shared their thoughts on the matter.

“His wife is stealing from his family. She is a thief,” someone commented.

“You’re not responsible for their family, especially when they can afford other wants, not needs,” another wrote.

“That meat is for you and your wife, not her sister’s family,” a TikToker replied.
