Hours left for Aussies to knock up to $800 off Google Pixel 9 and iPhone 15: 'Move quickly'
Vodafone, Telstra and Optus are offering major deals if you want to get the latest device.
Aussies only have a few days to soak up phone deals that could see them save upwards of $899 on a brand-new device. Discount season in Australia is well underway for phones and mobile plans, but the clock is ticking.
You can knock $200 off the price of a Pixel 9 Pro XL at Vodafone and get a $500 bonus trade-in credit on a 24- or 36-month plan, but that deal will run out at 11:59pm Wednesday August 21. Telstra is also doing a deal on the new Pixel 9 by throwing in a free Pixel tablet and charging speaker docket, valued at $899, but that also ends tonight.
If you're with Optus, comparison site WhistleOut found you can secure the Pixel 9 for $800 cheaper if you sign up for a 24- or 36-month plan and that deal runs out on September 3.

Finance expert Joel Gibson told Yahoo Finance that Google was trying to jump ahead of rival Apple by launching deals for the Pixel 9 in August.
"Move quickly today if you want the new Google phone and you like the look of either the Vodafone or Telstra offers because they end at midnight tonight, unless they decide to extend them," Gibson said.
"While Optus and Vodafone are offering more traditional discounts, Telstra's opting for bonuses instead.
"Interestingly, the Telstra deal is also available if you buy the phone outright, which is unusual as major telcos usually use new device launches to lock you into a 24-36-month plan."

Apple is set to unveil the new iPhone 16 next month and major deals have started to pop up for last year's model.
"Phone interest peaks every year with the iPhone launch and timing your new phone purchase right can save you hundreds of dollars," Gibson said.
Optus has knocked $300 off the price of the iPhone 15 range if you jump on a 24- or 36-month plan, while JB Hi-Fi has slashed its iPhone 15 range by $250.
If you're not an iPhone or Google Pixel lover, there are still deals for you.
Shoppers can get $300 off a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 if they sign up to a 24- or 36-month plan, while Google Pixel 8a buyers can receive a $200 discount with a pre-paid plan if they go to amaysim.
