Hillsong co-founder Bobbi Houston’s sex tips for married women have been unearthed from a 2003 set of audiotapes, where she talks about how she maintains a healthy sex life with her husband.

Her comments were made in a 2003 book and CD set called ‘Kingdom Women Love And Value their Sexuality’. The book is still listed on online Christian bookstore Koorong but is out of print.

In the recordings, first shared by The Daily Telegraph, Bobbi discusses her ‘great sex life’ with husband and Hillsong Church co-founder Brian Houston and shares tips for other women to maintain a similarly energetic sexual relationship.

In one quote encouraging weight loss, Bobbi describes how she feels having sex while carrying excess weight.

“If I carry weight, I feel like a r**ard, how are you going to do anything to surprise your man when you need a hydraulic crane just to turn over in bed?” she asks of her listeners.

The 63-year-old also encourages Christian women to strive for ‘amazing sex’, though strictly within the confines of marriage, using her own sex life with her husband to make her point.

“I’m talking about sex in the confines of marriage, Kingdom women should have a very healthy attitude to this amazing dynamic,” she says.

She later adds: “We need to be good at sex ourselves so that if the world happens to come knocking we can tell the story of God in our lives.”

“Without being lurid or untruthful; I have a great marriage and a great sex life.”

Bobbie’s anti-ageing sex tips

In a segment more steered towards the women’s pleasure, she suggests plastic surgery if it makes wives ‘feel better’ and suggested pelvic floor exercises for enhanced orgasms.

“Have plastic surgery if it makes you feel better and it is for the right reasons, and girls, pelvic floor exercise – can you believe I am saying this? You know, I have heard that orgasm is not as strong if you are really sloppy in that area.”

Bobbie, who was 46 years old when the books and tapes were published, gives extensive advice on minimising the ageing process and negative physical characteristics.

“When it comes to personal hygiene and maintenance works, for example, get your teeth fixed, a mouth is supposed to be very desirable,” she says.

She also instructs: “Minimise the negative of ageing, ageing does strange things to us. It discolours your teeth. Things sag when you get older.”

“Old people’s habits, don’t go there before you have to. Who cares if you have a facelift, but do it for the right reason. Back pain. Plumbing bits. Okay, get them fixed, get healed, or go to a doctor, I’m not joking.”

Yahoo Lifestyle has contacted Hillsong for comment.

The Hillsong Church was founded in 1983 in Baulkham Hills Sydney’s Hills District by Bobbie and Brian, and has gone on to become a ‘megachurch’ attracting celebrity members including our Prime Minister, and formerly Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, both of whom have separately left the church.

It’s not the first time the church’s statements about sexuality have prompted outrage.

The church is famously anti-gay marriage and teaches that a ‘homosexual lifestyle’ is a sin.

“I do believe God’s word is clear that marriage is between a man and a woman,” Brian wrote in 2015. “The writings of the apostle Paul in scripture on the subject of homosexuality are also clear, as I have mentioned in previous public statements.

“Hillsong Church welcomes ALL people but does not affirm all lifestyles. Put clearly, we do not affirm a gay lifestyle and because of this we do not knowingly have actively gay people in positions of leadership, either paid or unpaid.”
