Organization is key — so are cleaning, storage, gardening and more. In this series, you’ll learn various tips and tricks to make gardening, grilling and even sewing easier. No matter the problem, there’s a Home Hack for that!

There aren’t many things as disappointing as when you misplace your keys and lock yourself out of your home. You can give a spare set to a friend to help you in a pinch or rely on your own cleverness to create a hidden key holder.

Here’s the perfect hack for hiding your keys in plain sight:

Hide your keys safely and securely using the stones found in your backyard or at the beach to cover them in a potted plant. Simply place your keys inside an old pill container, screw on the lid and hot glue a stone to the top. Then, bury the container into a potted plant until the stone is sitting on top of the dirt. Lay other stones in the plant to camouflage your secret key holder.

Afterward, you can use stones to make other DIY projects too. Use them to make a tic-tac-toe game or revamp an outdoor doormat. Check out all of the stone hacks on this episode of Home Hacks above!

And if you aren’t super keen on digging for your own stones, you may be happy to know that you can buy four pounds of natural-looking stones for just $16 on Amazon.
