Henry Cavill has probably spent over $3,000 on his gaming computer

Henry Cavill upgraded his gaming PC again. This time, the lucky gamer and actor managed to get one of the most highly sought video cards on the market.

In July, Cavill uploaded a video of himself building a gaming PC on his Instagram. It was even a tutorial of sorts, with text explaining each step he took and general tips for building.

Recently, Cavill upgraded his rig with a new and very hard to find video card: the Nvidia RTX 3090 (thanks, GamesRadar).

Just how hard is it to get an RTX 3090? Well, it’s been completely sold out since September. Retailers have been putting up new listings for the card each week and inventory is bought out within minutes.

Gift Guides: Make them smile with these fun White Elephant gifts:

This is despite the 3090’s hefty $1,499 price tag. That’s three times the price of a PlayStation 5 — just for a video card.

A monstrously powerful card like the 3090 also requires powerful supporting hardware and peripherals. With a 3090 in his rig, Cavill’s total set-up including his monitor(s) could cost anywhere from $3,000 to $5,000 dollars.

Of course, this comes as no surprise. Cavill has referenced his love of video games — specifically PC games — many times before.

When Cavill was asked whether he’s a PlayStation or Xbox fan during an interview with NME, the actor famously and proudly replied, “PC.” He even missed a call from Zack Snyder about playing Superman because he was busy playing World of Warcraft.

My man.

Unfortunately, Cavill got injured earlier this month while filming the second season of The Witcher. The Witcher itself is based off the novels by Andrzej Sapkowski and the wildly popular video game trilogy The Witcher by CD Projekt.

But with an RTX 3090, it’s clear that he’s resting and recovering in style.

Enjoy your face-melting RTX graphics with 4K resolution, DLSS and ray tracing, Cavill. The rest of us are very jealous of your gaming PC.
