Half-price specials: Woolworths, Coles' best deals this week

Each week Australia's major supermarkets Woolworths and Coles sells certain products for half-price.

Such "loss leader" deals earn very little – if any – margin for the retailer.

But they are designed to tempt customers to walk into their store, where the supermarkets are betting that they'll also pick up other groceries with fatter profits.

This week, at both stores, there are a lot of vitamins and beauty products on sale for half-price.
