Great American Life Introduces New Fixed Annuity for the RIA Market

·3-min read

Designed for fee-based advisors seeking to offer stable returns

CINCINNATI, December 06, 2021--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Great American Life Insurance Company®, a leading provider of annuities, launched the Advantage 5SM Advisory, its first fee-based fixed annuity, deepening the company’s commitment to the registered investment advisor (RIA) channel.

The Advantage 5 Advisory offers steady returns with an interest rate that is guaranteed for the product’s initial five-year term. This feature may be a good option for investment advisors looking to offer clients complete protection from market risk and an alternative to volatile or low-yielding cash allocations.

"Advisors have struggled to find a place to allocate cash or get stable, predictable returns. Adding a fixed annuity to our suite of fee-based products solves that issue for many advisors," said Tony Compton, Great American Life’s Divisional Vice President of Broker/Dealer & RIA sales. "Since launching the industry’s first fee-based fixed-indexed annuity in 2016, we’ve prided ourselves on being a leader in the RIA space. With the addition of the Advantage 5 Advisory, we are excited to further our commitment to advisors and their clients."

While Great American Life® understands the need for innovative financial products, the company also understands the importance of making annuities more accessible in comprehensive financial plans. That’s why Great American Life continues to invest in simplified business processes and technology to support advisors and their clients. As such, the Advantage 5 Advisory seamlessly integrates within advisors’ existing toolkits. It can be displayed on many popular fee-based platforms used for portfolio management, reporting and billing.

In speaking of the company’s commitment to making annuities more accessible, Compton said, "We understand the desire by consumers for stability and predictability during periods of economic uncertainty. We recognize that when advisors are able to offer more comprehensive and personalized investment solutions, such as annuities, clients receive the more holistic financial advice that today’s market demands."

The Advantage 5 Advisory is Great American Life’s fourth product developed for the RIA space and is available alongside the Index Protector series of fixed-indexed annuities. More information about Great American Life’s fee-based products is available at GreatAmericanRIA.com.
