Global economy lacks business investment

Federal government frontbencher Angus Taylor believes a lack of business investment is hurting the global economy rather than dwindling international trade.

The G20 finance ministers meeting in China at the weekend again resolved to pursue measures to boost growth and avoid protectionist activities in a lacklustre global economy.

"It has been battle since the global financial crisis, we saw a sharp drop in business investment and its been sluggish every since," Mr Taylor told Sky News on Monday, adding the Turnbull government was trying to encourage this through is planned business tax cuts.
