Another firm favourite when it comes to fitness tracking, this model landed a spot in our review of the best running watches. It has a built-in GPS for measuring your pace and storing routes, which can be seamlessly uploaded to services like Strava for more analysis. Heart-rate tracking and VO2 estimates monitor your fitness as your exercise, and the accompanying app can be used to track trends and set goals.

This stylish smartwatch is as fashionable as it is functional. It has a five-day battery life to keep it running while it monitors your respiration, sleep cycle, heart rate, menstrual cycle and stress levels.
You can download songs and podcasts to the watch, which will keep you company during workouts or provide a motivational boost. There’s also easy-to-follow workouts built-in, covering cardio, strength training, yoga and pilates, and 20 preloaded GPS apps so you’ll never get lost.
The similar Garmin venu 2 model came highly rated in our guide to the best Android smartwatches, where it was dubbed “one of the most impressive smartwatches you can buy right now” – but we think the original holds up too, especially at this price.
Garmin instinct solar: Was £319.99, now £264.96, Amazon.co.uk
