Frigid Kansas City conditions force Ryan Tannehill to use his nose — literally — to study game footage

There was no snow on the field, but the weather in Kansas City for Sunday’s AFC championship game wasn’t exactly pleasant.

With the temperature dropping to 19 degrees and the wind chill even colder, conditions called for adjustments from players of both teams.

Ryan Tannehill handled the frigid temperature like a pro.

The Tennessee Titans quarterback looked to his tablet in the third quarter, presumably to study footage from the field. Did he remove his gloves and expose his all-important hands to the conditions to swipe through screens?

Impressive improv

Nope. He used his nose. Literally.

That’s a solid case of improvising and a situation that anybody who owns a smartphone in a cold-weather climate can relate to.

As many residents of those climates know, they do make gloves for these situations that have fingertips built to be sensed by smartphone and tablet screens.

Maybe the multibillion dollar NFL should invest in some for their players so they don’t have to swipe their faces across screens.
