Frantic search for missing boy at popular waterfall
A search is underway for a boy who went missing while swimming at Cedar Creek Falls in the Gold Coast hinterland.
Police said two boys were swimming at the falls around 4.45pm on Thursday when they both got into trouble in the water, but only one made it to shore.
The missing boy is believed to be aged between 10 and 12, according to the Gold Coast Bulletin.
Specialist police, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and the Queensland Ambulance Service launched a ground and water search which will continue into the night.
Cedar Creek Falls is located at Tamborine Mountain, roughly an hour inland from the Gold Coast.
