Singer Ally Brooke, 27, begs: 'Don't let me die a virgin'

Former Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke recently made headlines after revealing she's saving herself for marriage.

The 27-year-old has now admitted in a new interview she’s been tempted in the past and has begged God to not let her die a virgin.

"I mean it is a difficult road — especially being a young woman in the entertainment business, you’re surrounded by attractive people," she told Page Six.

"I stop the temptation by killing the mood … It’s like seeing a nice purse in the mall. You really want to buy it, but you have to save your money. So you walk around the mall thinking about the purse."

Ally added that if all else fails, she will pray to God to help her through this.

The singer also shared her fears of dying a virgin, "I pray to God like, 'Please don’t let me die a virgin. Let me meet my husband before that happens to me and give me a few good years with him.'"

While she hasn't found the man of her dreams, she would love to be married by the time she's 30.

Ally has spoken about her decision previously, telling TMZ: "It can definitely get hard and rough and you just got to stay strong and remember why I did it."

"And the end goal, you know, it’s a marathon and I’m trying to see myself at the finish line because for me personally, I think that’ll just reap such rewards in time."

She also shared that she was "proud" of remaining a virgin.

"I’m happy I can share it with my fans and be honest but it’s also awesome because I can still be flirtatious and be sexy and fun in my music videos and in my songs," she said.

"There’s just a certain line that I’m comfortable with, you know, certain songs that I will sing, certain lyrics that I will change, but it’s awesome just being empowered to be who I want to be."

Ally also added that she was inspired by people like Jordin Sparks and Jessica Simpson who waited to lose their virginity, saying she was "empowered" by them.

The singer also shared advice for anyone else thinking about saving themselves for marriage. "If you guys are trying to honour that choice, stick to it."

"Remember why you did it and know that you’re not alone, 'cause there are some people that feel like, 'gosh, I’m the only one who’s in this boat,' but you have a lot of people who are with you and have the same struggles and challenges that you do and you know I’m here to root you on and say, 'hey, stay strong.' I know it’s tough but you really can do it."
