Fasten your seatbelts and make sure your tray tables are stowed, folks: The Flight Attendant season 2 is flying back to HBO Max.

After seeing the instant popularity of the comedy-drama, which is based on the novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian, HBO Max decided to renew the series and continue telling the story of Cassie Bowen, played brilliantly by Kaley Cuoco. But what will this next chapter entail? Keep on reading for the full scoop on The Flight Attendant season 2.

Right now, HBO has not announced a premiere date for The Flight Attendant season 2. That said, Kaley revealed in an Instagram from September 7 that she had begun filming the second installment in Germany. Knowing that filming has started up again, it's likely that The Flight Attendant season 2 will come back in either the summer or fall of 2022.

Who will be in the cast of The Flight Attendant season 2?

  • Kaley Cuoco as Cassie

  • Zosia Mamet as Annie

  • Rosie Perez as Megan

  • Michelle Gomez as Miranda

  • Griffin Mathews as Shane

  • T.R. Knight as Davey

Though fans weren't sure if Miranda would survive at the end of the season 1 finale, we know based on the episode's events that she is still alive. Showrunner Steve Yockey confirmed to TV Line, "It would be great to have some more Miranda [in season 2], absolutely." We will just have to wait and see, but we're guessing we haven't seen the last of Miranda.

What's more, it's totally possible the cast could get bigger in season 2. "If we did have a second season, it probably would be a whole new adventure, like a new Hitchcock movie for Cassie to stumble into," Steve told The New York Times. Does "new adventure" mean new faces? Again, we'll have to wait and see.

When we return to Cassie in season 2, we should expect to see her turn over a new leaf in some ways.

"She is going to be trying to live a sober life," Kaley told TVLine. "But as we know, she’s very impatient, so she thinks that things are going to be super easy, and she’s going to realize really fast that this is going to be a lifelong struggle for her ... She is going to realize really fast that this will not happen overnight."

That said, Kaley told Variety that we shouldn't expect to see Cassie take on a huge role with the C.I.A. after the events that unfolded in the season 1 finale. "This is not some sort of agent. She is a teeny tiny asset. But she seems to get confused as to what is needed from her and gets herself stuck in a situation that she should not be in," Kaley teased.

Per TV Line, season 2 will also be filmed partly in Los Angeles instead of New York, after Kaley pitched the idea. The actress also told TV Line that the disappearance of Megan will be a big focus in season 2 after it was revealed that the C.I.A. was keeping tabs on her.
