Fed plans stress tests for large foreign banks in US

The Federal Reserve proposed to subject large foreign banks to stress tests in new draft rules unveiled Friday aimed at tightening supervision of the banks.

The proposed rules would apply to banks and non-bank financial institutions with global assets of more than $50 billion that are active inside the United States.
