On this episode of In The Know: Beauty School, makeup artist Kirin Bhatty (@kirinstagram) shows how to create the perfect makeup look for the next wedding you attend! Doing your makeup for a wedding is all about striking the right tone, and looking your best without overshadowing the couple. That’s why Bhatty is here to share an easy, subtle, but still totally gorgeous makeup look that’s perfect for wedding guests.

Bhatty starts with eyeshadow, grabbing the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Palette, which she explains is for more than just eyes! “You can use it for eyes, face, the whole deal,” she says. “I’m gonna start with the eye and use it all over.”

Bhatty applies a light pink eyeshadow to the model’s eyes, then adds a darker shade for a bit of a smoky look. “I’m gonna use this section to kind of build a beautiful day look that you can even take into night, and just kind of coat the eye with a gorgeous wash of a neutral pink color,” she says as she applies the first shade. Then, she adds the next shade, explaining that she’s “building up a little soft smoke into the lid and into the socket.”

Once the smoky lid is finished, Bhatty applies the finishing touches to the model’s eye makeup. “We’re now returning to our trusty drop shadow,” she explains, applying a bit of the eyeshadow underneath the model’s eye. “So I’m actually gonna use this same shade when I contour the face.”

Next, it’s time for contour and blush! Bhatty uses the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Palette for this step as well, adding skin toned shades to accentuate the model’s cheeks, then choosing a pink  for blush. “Now I’m dipping back in and I’m going to use one of the eyeshadow colors as blush,” she says as she finishes applying the blush. “Perfect. I love a one and done.”,

Once the blush is applied, Bhatty turns her attention back to the model’s eyes. She chooses Sisley Paris So Curl Mascara, which allows her to curl the model’s lashes without a curler! “I love it because you don’t need a curler,” she explains as she curls the model’s lashes. “Just tossing that onto the lash and what I’m doing is I’m also flicking out the ends.”

Finally, Bhatty chooses the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil for the model’s lips. “I love this lip because it’s a universally flattering color,” she says. “You can use it just as a lip liner and fill it in with whatever you wish.”

With the lip pencil applied, the makeup look is complete! Bhatty explains that the look is designed to be quick and easy to create while also letting you look your best. “Sometimes when you’re a wedding guest, you’re also in the wedding, so I don’t want this to take very long,” she says.

Weddings are a great excuse to dress up and look your best, and this makeup look is the perfect easy option for wedding day glam!
