Everton vs West Ham LIVE!

David Moyes returns to Goodison Park to lock horns with his old adversary Rafa Benitez as West Ham face Everton.

Moyes and Benitez clashed 14 times as Everton and Liverpool managers and their latest showdown could be a cracker.

A trip to in-form Everton marks the start of a hectic run of seven games in 22 days for West Ham, who need to reignite their season after just one win in five Premier League matches before the international break.

The Hammers lost to a last-gasp Brentford goal in their last game and Moyes, back at the club where he spent 11 years, will be looking for a reaction from his team.

  • How to watch

15:13 , Giuseppe Muro

55 mins: Benrahma finds space on the edge in space but he sends a tame effort straight at Pickford.

15:11 , Giuseppe Muro

54 mins: Bowen sends a dangerous inswinger and Pickford has to tip it behind for a corner, which Everton clear.

15:09 , Giuseppe Muro

52 mins: Chance to Everton! Townsend cuts in from the right, crosses into a dangerous position and Rondon glances a header wide with Fabianki beaten. Everton have started the second half well.

15:07 , Giuseppe Muro

50 mins: Brilliant block from Ogbonna! Iwobi turns inside the area, gets a shot away but Ogbonna throws himself in front of the ball and deflects it behind. That was goalbound.

15:04 , Giuseppe Muro

47 mins: Great play from Gary, who has switched flanks with Iwobi and is on the left now. He delivers a delightful ball across the box but Rondon does not anticipate it. That was a really inviting cross. Rondon was caught on heels.

15:02 , Giuseppe Muro

46 mins: We’re back underway at Goodison Park!

14:55 , Giuseppe Muro

Sky Sports’ Jamie Redknapp on Iwobi’s miss: “It is actually a hard skill to do to miss it completely like that.”

Simon Collings at Goodison Park

14:52 , Giuseppe Muro

West Ham have had plenty of possession and been the better team, but lacked that final ball.

Everton have been very quiet, bar the odd lively moment from Gray.

14:48 , Giuseppe Muro

Here’s that Soucek disallowed goal from the first half...

Half-time

14:47 , Giuseppe Muro

Everton 0-0 West Ham.

West Ham have been in charge for large parts of the first half. They had a goal correctly ruled out of offside, Iwobi missed the best chance of the half but this one is goalless at the break.

14:43 , Giuseppe Muro

42 mins: A good break from West Ham, Rice feeds Antonio but he fires over from outside the area when Bowen was free on the right. There has been so much Moyes to be pleased about but he will be disappointed by what he has seen in the final third.

14:42 , Giuseppe Muro

41 mins: Whenever Townsend cuts inside on his left foot Everton look dangerous. His cross is headed behind by Bowen for an Everton corner. Fabianski gathers the cross.

14:40 , Giuseppe Muro

38 mins: A few chances for West Ham. Bowen has a powerful shot blocked inside the box and then Fornals curls an effort wide. Everton have had the best chance of the half but West Ham have been the better side in this so far.

Simon Collings at Goodison Park

14:36 , Giuseppe Muro

Benrahma has been frustrating today with his lack of end product, but he was excellent there to carve out that ruled-out goal.

West Ham have been good in possession, they’ve just lacked that killer pass.

Disallowed goal

14:35 , Giuseppe Muro

35 mins: West Ham have the ball in the net… but the flag goes straight up!

Good interplay from West Ham leads to a shot from Bowen that is pushed out by Pickford, Soucek smashes the ball home but he was offside.

14:33 , Giuseppe Muro

33 mins: Everton are enjoying a good spell now. They are looking a lot more dangerous now. This time, Townsend crosses from the right, Doucoure makes a run into the box and heads wide.

14:32 , Giuseppe Muro

31 mins: A moment of uncertainty at the back for West Ham. Iwobi crosses from the left, Fabianski doesn’t deal with the cross but the Hammers goalkeeper is fortunately that the ball drops to Cresswell and he is able to hack away.

14:30 , Giuseppe Muro

29 mins: West Ham get into a good position down the right again but Johnson cannot pick anyone out. That has been the story for West Ham in this first half. Fornals is then booked as Everton try to counter.

14:30 , Giuseppe Muro

Sky Sports commentatorJamie Carragher: “For all West Ham's play, Everton have still had the biggest chance.

“Gray beats Ogbonna with ease. Maybe Rondon puts Iwobi off but it is a really poor miss.”

14:28 , Giuseppe Muro

27 mins: First big moment of the match! And it passes Everton by. Gray does brilliantly to jink past Ogbonna down the right, he crosses into a dangerous area but Iwobi fluffs his lines and misses the ball completely. That was a real chance for Everton.

14:26 , Giuseppe Muro

25 mins: It’s gone a bit quiet in the last five minutes or so. Benrahma crosses for Antonio but he puts too much on it. That final pass has been the one thing that has let West Ham down so far.

14:23 , Giuseppe Muro

22 mins: Doucoure makes a run into the box, lays one back for Iwobi on the edge, he has two bites at the cherry but both efforts are blocked.

Simon Collings at Goodison Park

14:22 , Giuseppe Muro

It feels like it's going to be a long, old afternoon for Rondon.

He's getting zero change out of Zouma and Ogbonna, who have been screened excellently by Rice and Soucek too.

14:21 , Giuseppe Muro

19 mins: Everton have grown into the game but the alarm bells were ringing for the home side there. Twice West Ham get the ball into the box and Everton have to clear. Moyes will be really pleased with the start his side have made in the first 20 minutes.

14:17 , Giuseppe Muro

16 mins: The first signs of life from Everton. Townsend swings a dangerous cross across the face of goal from the left but it just misses everyone and goes behind. Doucoure then fires over from range.

14:16 , Giuseppe Muro

Sky Sports’ commentatorJamie Carragher: “The only challenges Everton have won have been inside their own box.”

14:14 , Giuseppe Muro

13 mins: This is far too easy for West Ham at the moment. Everton have started really slowly. West Ham get into the box again but Keane scrambles clear.

14:12 , Giuseppe Muro

West Ham have had 80 per cent possession in the first 11 minutes. That shows how one-sided this has been so far.

14:12 , Giuseppe Muro

West Ham have had 80 per cent possession in the first 11 minutes. That shows how one-sided this has been so far.

14:11 , Giuseppe Muro

11 mins: It’s wave after wave of West Ham attack. They look really dangerous. The Hammers get numbers into the box, the ball falls to Benrahma but he fires over the bar.

14:10 , Giuseppe Muro

9 mins: Antonio is booked for diving on the edge of the area. Replays showed there was no contact from Keane so that was a good decision by the referee. No real complaints from Antonio.

14:09 , Giuseppe Muro

8 mins: A bit of a hairy moment for Pickford. Johnson stands up a cross to the back post, Pickford comes to claim but fumbles for a second before gathering the ball. So far, Moyes has the upper hand on Benitez.

Simon Collings at Goodison Park

14:07 , Giuseppe Muro

It’s been a very good start by West Ham, who are dominating possession and look sharp.

Everton, in contrast, are being loose with their passing and the home fans are already groaning.

14:07 , Giuseppe Muro

6 mins: Everton can't get the ball at the moment.

West Ham are very confident in possession, they get into the Everton box but a cross from Bowen is cleared. The home crowd are getting a bit restless. Benrahma then drives into the area. West Ham have started really brightly.

14:05 , Giuseppe Muro

3 mins: West Ham have made a decent start here. Cresswell crosses from left but it’s too high for Antonio and goes behind. Encouragement for the Hammers, though.

14:03 , Giuseppe Muro

1 min: West Ham make a positive start and are quickly back on the front foot but Bowen's touch lets him down inside the Everton box.

Kick-off

We are underway at Goodison Park!

Here come the two teams

13:51 , Giuseppe Muro

Kick-off is now under 10 minutes away...

13:43 , Giuseppe Muro

Moyes on the job Rafa Benitez has done at Everton: “It’s very good. It’s a great club, Everton, and they’ve big expectations and big tradition here.

“I think it’s maybe a surprise when you come from Liverpool as manager to Everton, but overall you have to say he’s started the season really well.

“I’ve been here in the other dugout a few times, so I’ve seen a few managers here since I’ve left. It may be a bit more strange seeing Rafa there, but I think most people would say that. He’s started the season well.”

13:39 , Giuseppe Muro

David Moyes has been speaking to Sky Sports pitch side and he has given an update on the fitness of Vladimir Coufal.

Moyes said: “He’s just had an injury which he picked up in the Cup game against Manchester United, and he’s never really been right since then. He played against Leeds after it, but is just not quite right.”

Moyes: West Ham the greatest team I have managed

13:34 , Giuseppe Muro

Speaking ahead of the game, David Moyes has said his West Ham side is the best team he has ever managed.

”This is as good as I've had,” said the Scot. “This is right up there.

“By the time I reached year 10 at Everton, I had real quality players, international players, and a balance with a team who understood me. But in year two at Everton, I didn't have the same quality of player as I have now at West Ham.

"I think the football we are playing at the moment is right up there. Yes, there have been one or two blips, but we've played some really good football, we look exciting.”

13:24 , Giuseppe Muro

So still no Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison for Everton. Two big absentees for the Toffees.

West Ham captain Mark Noble, along with Alex Kral and Ryan Fredericks, is absent through injury.

13:09 , Giuseppe Muro

For Everton, Alex Iwobi is back in the team having missed the trip to Manchester United before the international break and he replaces Anthony Gordon.

Yerry Mina has to settle for a place on the bench, having only returned from international duty with Colombia on Friday. He is replaced by Seamus Coleman, so Ben Godfrey moves to centre-back.

13:08 , Giuseppe Muro

Vladimir Coufal has failed a late fitness test so Ben Johnson starts at right-back for West Ham.

That is the only change from the Hammers team that lost 2-1 against Brentford before the international break.

Michail Antonio pulled out of the Jamaica squad for the recent international fixtures, citing logistical issues as his reason, meaning he was spared a long-distance trip and should be fresh. He leads the line for West Ham.

Kurt Zouma, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Everton a couple of seasons ago, starts in defence. Former Everton midfielder Nikola Vlasic is named on the bench.

Fornals: We can cause problems for Everton

12:40 , Giuseppe Muro

Speaking ahead of the game, West Ham midfielder Pablo Fornals said: "I think Everton made some really good signings - Andros Townsend is playing really well, and Demarai Gray as well - and I think are a good team.

"Positionally and tactically they are really good, but we want to get the three points.

"We can cause problems for them like we cause problems for everyone, by pushing, never stopping running and trying to smash the game from the start until the end. That's what we are right now and that's our way to play and how to make our fans happy."

12:36 , Giuseppe Muro

The West Ham players have arrived at Goodison Park and have just been out on the pitch taking in their surroundings.

Declan Rice has his earphones in, Angelo Ogbonna is doing a lap of the pitch, while Pablo Fornals is chatting to fitness coach Nick Davies.

Everton will again be without Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison due to injury.

Lucas Digne and Seamus Coleman are fit, and Yerry Mina is expected to start despite his late return from Colombia.

Early team news

12:25 , Giuseppe Muro

Michail Antonio pulled out of the Jamaica squad for this international meet-up citing logistical issues as his reason, meaning he was spared a long-distance trip and should be fresh for today’s trip to Everton.

That is a boost for David Moyes, who is set to stick with his trusted West Ham regulars as he begins to juggle a busy run of fixtures.

Moyes says West Ham have "one or two injuries", but Ryan Fredericks could return following a groin issue.

A trip to in-form Everton on Sunday marks the start of a hectic run of seven games in 22 days for West Ham

It feels like a crucial period for the Hammers, who managed just one win in five Premier League matches before the international break and need to reignite their season.

After making a flying start under David Moyes, West Ham began to stutter once their fixture list became more congested due to their involvement in the Europa League.

They are three points off fourth place and, after two wins from two in Europe plus and victory over Manchester United in the Carabao Cup, are not in a bad place though.

A trip to in-form Everton will be a test but Moyes is targeting a win as he returns to his old club.
