Euros top scorers: Latest goal and assist standings today; Kane has Ronaldo in his sights ahead of Final

Euro 2020 is almost over, with Harry Kane is attempting to chase down Cristiano Ronaldo in the race for the Golden Boot.

Kane’s successful rebound off his own saved penalty in extra time of the last-four tie against Denmark at Wembley secured England’s place in a first major tournament final since 1966 and took the Three Lions captain to four goals for the tournament.

Ronaldo had scored three times in his opening two games of the tournament, and bagged a penalty brace against France to make it five goals to take himself top of the standings.

However, he won’t be able to add any further to his tally after defending champions Portugal were knocked out in the last 16 by Belgium.

He leads the standings thanks to his sole assist.

With Ronaldo out of the tournament, Patrik Schick scored his fifth goal in as many games to give Czech Republic a lifeline in their quarter-final tie, but it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback against Denmark.

In second place on four goals along with Kane is Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, Sweden’s Emil Forsberg and France star Karim Benzema.

Raheem Sterling, Spain’s Alvaro Morata, Netherlands midfielder Gini Wijnaldum and Poland’s Robert Lewandowski are all level with three goals apiece, along with Haris Seferovic and Xherdan Shaqiri of Switzerland and Kasper Dolberg of Denmark.

Next up is the likes of Spanish duo Pablo Sarabia and Ferran Torres, as well as Italy quartet Federico Chiesa, Manuel Locatelli, Matteo Pessina and Ciro Immobile. Chelsea’s Kai Havertz has a brace too for Germany.

Ukraine stars Roman Yaremchuk and Andriy Yarmolenko also have two apiece, as do Netherlands duo Denzel Dumfries and Memphis Depay.

Denmark’s Yussuf Poulsen, Mikkel Damsgaard and Joakim Maehle have two each, as have Croatia winger Ivan Perisic and Belgium’s Thorgan Hazard.
