Eminem says 'f--- Drew Brees' in new track with Kid Cudi

It’s not uncommon for sports stars to get a name-drop in songs, but this time around New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees might not be too excited about it.

Shortly after midnight, Eminem and Kid Cudi dropped their first collaboration, “The Adventures of Moon Man & Slim Shady,” and took a NSFW jab at Brees.

Warning: NSFW language

The lines were delivered by Eminem at about the 2 minute mark. H/T The Wrap:

“I had hoop dreams, now I shoot threes (What?)

Got a lil’ green (Yeah), but I don’t do weed (Nope)

Purp nor lean (Nah), that’s Tunechi (Yeah)

That’s New Orleans (What?), f--- Drew Brees (Yeah)”

Brees received a mountain of criticism early last month when he implied NFL players who kneel in protest of police brutality are unpatriotic. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, who also got a shoutout with Dwyane Wade, led the athlete pushback. Brees’ Saints teammate Malcolm Jenkins told him to “shut the f--- up.”

Brees apologized the next morning in a statement on Instagram and again that night in a direct-to-camera response.

Eminem released a freestyle rap in October 2017 dissing President Donald Trump for his attacks against the NFL after Colin Kaepernick garnered media attention for kneeling during the anthem. About halfway through he said “This one’s for Colin.”

The song also calls out politicians, anti-maskers and dirty cops while giving prayers to George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery.
