Dunkin' barista reveals why you should always get 'light ice' in your coffee: 'You're saving my life'

A Dunkin’ Donuts employee revealed why you should always ask for light ice or no ice at all when ordering coffee.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting your drink served ice cold. But when all of that ice starts to pile up, you have to wonder how much of the actual beverage you’re getting. TikToker @jasonmora2 is a barista at Dunkin’ Donuts. He posts behind-the-scenes looks at what it’s like working at the franchise. The employee showed just how much space the ice takes up in a large Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.

“Since people wanna see what you get out of a large,” he wrote in the caption. “Don’t forget light ice next time!”

The barista showed what a standard large iced coffee contains at Dunkin’ Donuts. To demonstrate how much coffee is in the order, he poured the liquid from the standard iced coffee into an empty large cup. The amount of coffee in the order was only enough to fill half of the large cup. So without ice, you’d be getting about twice as much coffee.

The revealing video received over 20.4 million views on TikTok. The clip has since been made private, but luckily the tip isn’t lost on coffee fans.

“This is why I always ask for my drinks with no ice,” one person commented.

“I never get iced coffee for that reason, and people always told me it didn’t matter,” another wrote.

“You’re saving my life with this one, my friend,” a user said.
