Yahoo Finance Diamondbacks minor-league player tests negative for coronavirus
An unnamed Arizona Diamondbacks prospect tested negative for COVID-19, The Athletic’s Zach Buchanan reported Saturday.
The Diamondbacks say the minor leaguer they tested for COVID-19 does not have the virus.

D-backs general manager Mike Hazen announced the test on Friday, indicating that the club was operating "out of an abundance of caution."
At this point, no MLB player has tested positive for the coronavirus. Mets employee Donovan Mitchell Sr. was also tested this week. His results came back negative.
Mitchell is the father of Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell, who is one of two NBA players including teammate Ruby Gobert, to test positive for COVID-19. The NBA suspended its season for at least 30 days upon learning of Gobert’s positive test on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Major League Baseball suspended operations through at least the first two weeks of the regular season due to the coronavirus outbreak. MLB and the MLBPA announced that spring training operations were suspended as of Friday afternoon. Players will be allowed to stay in the area of the spring training facility, travel to their club’s home city or travel to their off-season home.
The New York Yankees have collectively decided to continue training in Florida, while other teams are allowing a limited number of players to train at their facilities on a daily basis.
