Dessert-inspired cocktails to satisfy your sweet tooth

What could be sweeter than turning your favorite dessert into a cocktail? Dessert drinks are their own sweet and creamy cocktail category designed to sip slowly aprés dinner. And TikTokers are going all-in on the dessert drink decadence by transforming their favorite sweet treats into boozy beverages. From s’mores to Oreos, satisfy your sweet tooth with these five dessert-inspired cocktails!

1. S’mores cocktail

This boozy rendition of the classic s’mores dessert takes the marshmallow and graham cracker treat from the campfire to the fireplace. To make this cozy cocktail, place a large ice cube in a glass. Next, pour in some regular bourbon, coffee liqueur and peanut butter-flavored bourbon. Top it off with some frothed milk or cream, and garnish with a toasted marshmallow on a stick.

2. Tiramisu cocktail

If you love tiramisu, you’ll definitely want to try this tiramisu cocktail! Begin by adding brandy, Kahlua, crème de cacao, heavy cream, a scoop of mascarpone cheese and an egg yolk into a tumbler glass. Shake for 20 seconds with ice and then again for 30 seconds without ice. Pour into a coupe glass using a strainer, and garnish with shaved chocolate or cocoa powder.

3. Birthday cake martini

It’s someone’s birthday somewhere, so why not celebrate with this birthday cake martini? First, add whipped cream vodka, white chocolate liqueur, cream and cake mix in a tumbler, then shake. Once shaken, pour into a martini glass rimmed with frosting and rainbow sprinkles. Top with whipped cream and cheers!

4. Oreo mudslide

What could be sweeter than pairing a classic cocktail with a classic cookie? This Oreo mudslide involves adding vanilla ice cream, vodka, Bailey’s, Kahlua and Oreos into a blender. Once blended, pour into a glass rimmed with crushed Oreo pieces. Bottoms up!

5. Red velvet hot cocoa cocktail

Enjoy the decadence of red velvet with this extravagant cocktail. Begin by boiling milk and heavy cream in a pot. Next, add white chocolate chips and stir until they melt. Then, add brown sugar, vanilla extract, cocoa powder and red food coloring. Remove the boiling mixture from the heat, and stir in some white chocolate liqueur and vodka. Pour into a glass rimmed with melted white chocolate and sprinkles. Finally, top with cream cheese whipped cream and garnish with marshmallows.
