A mom’s reaction to her daughter’s Thanksgiving surprise was both hilarious and moving.
TikToker Emmy posted a video of her lovingly deceptive scheme to visit her mom over the holidays. She convinced her mother that she would be unable to visit for Thanksgiving, but of course, it was all a lie.
But the heartwarming prank was well worth it after seeing the mama’s stunned response.

“So I told my mom I couldn’t go home for Thanksgiving, you know, like a liar,” Emmy said. “And now I’m going to the airport and I’m going to surprise her and it’s going to be amazing.”
After testing negative for COVID-19, she was good to go. The daughter donned a face shield and face mask as she boarded a plane and traveled to her mom’s house.
“Emmy home!” she shouted as she burst through the door.

Her mom was bundled up on the couch and caught completely off guard by the surprise. She paused for a second to process what was happening. Then the mom let out a high-pitched scream in complete shock and surprise.
The video racked up 5.2 million views on TikTok.
“She had to buffer,” a user joked.
“She glitched a little,” another said.
“I was like ‘that’s underwhelming’ — until the scream,” someone wrote.
