Dancing with the Stars duo Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess have confirmed their engagement.

The couple met in December 2020 and were paired together for the 30th season of the dance show, with the duo eventually placing in 13th place after being the third team to be eliminated.

The couple announced their engagement on the latest episode of the Oldish podcast, which they co-host with Randy Spelling, and revealed they had actually been engaged for the last two months.

“I put that ring on my finger and I hugged all of them and it was the most perfect, beautiful moment because it was us,” said Burgess of the special moment. “It was our unit, you know, our tribe. And I love that that's how he wanted to do it.”

Sharna also shared a clip on her Instagram account of the family locking hands as she showed off her wedding ring, with the dancer describing the moment as their “latest chapter.”

Dancing with the Stars is set to return later this year, though professional dancer Witney Carson will not be taking part, with the star electing to spend more time with her young family.

“This was not a decision that we took lightly at all. But we will not be doing Dancing with the Stars this season,” she said on TikTok. “And as much as that pains me to say, I just feel very at peace with it.

“I also feel like I'm not quite mentally and physically ready for what the show calls for. I definitely think this is just a break. I hope it's not a goodbye. But for now, we will be their number one cheerleader watching.”

Dancing with the Stars streams live on Disney+ in the US.
