Dad hilariously ‘scares’ 2-year-old with ‘dead puppies’ at Target: ‘This one’s a core memory’

A father gave his toddler son a rude awakening in the spirit of Halloween, and the little boy’s reaction was hilarious.

Life never comes at you faster than when you are a kid. Everything is new and you’re trying to piece together what it all means. Sometimes, reality and fiction can blur when you’re still figuring it all out.

TikTok dad Jason Tierney took his son to Target to browse the Halloween section — but the little boy had no idea what was in store for him.

“Scaring my 2-year-old son in Target,” Tierney wrote in the caption. “TikTok, do your thing!”

“Puppies! Puppies!” the toddler said, pointing to some skeleton dog decorations.

“Those are dead puppies,” the father explained.

The boy paused for a second before letting out a guttural shriek in utter horror.

The video received 18.4 million views and 4.5 million likes on TikTok. People found the rugrat’s reaction to be melodramatic in only the way a toddler could be.

“He screamed like he just witnessed a whole murder,” a user joked.

“His mind had to look ‘dead’ up in his dictionary before he could scream,” another wrote.

“He screamed like you killed them in front of him,” someone said.
