Cyclist killed in horror collison with lorry in Holborn

A female cyclist has been killed in a collision with a lorry in central London.

Police found the woman suffering critical injuries after she was struck at the junction of Theobald’s Road and Southampton Row in Holborn about 9am on Wednesday.

Paramedics made it to the scene but she was pronounced dead shortly after.

The lorry driver stopped at the scene and hasn’t been arrested.

Road closures have been put into place on at the central London junction and the public are advised to avoid the area.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or the witness line on 0208 246 9820 quoting CAD 1726/04Aug.
