Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has plenty of good news on the injury front as his side prepare to visit Leicester in the Premier League this evening.

Palace have been plagued by injuries all season, but have once again staved off the threat of relegation under Hodgson and look all-but certain to finish in mid-table.

Among the players back in training are Jeffrey Schlupp, Mamadou Sakho and James Tomkins, while Gary Cahill is expected to be fit to face the Foxes despite what Hodgson called a “minor problem”.

“We’ve got a lot of players back, good news,” Hodgson said in his pre-match press conference on Thursday.

“Schlupp, Sakho and Tomkins are training. As big a group for a long time. [James] McArthur isn’t back yet, Cahill has a minor problem but we’re hoping he’ll be back in time for Monday.

“[Connor] Wickham and [Nathan] Ferguson are out training but not with the squad yet. Strange that I can name them so quickly!”

Palace predicted XI: Guaita; Ward, Tomkins, Cahill, Van Aanholt; Riedewald, Milivojevic; Ayew, Eze, Zaha; Benteke
