Crystal Palace to remind Mamadou Sakho of responsibilities after picture with Salt Bae in Dubai restaurant

Crystal Palace will remind defender Mamadou Sakho of his responsibilities after the 30-year-old was pictured in a packed Dubai restaurant.

Sakho was authorised to travel to Dubai by Palace in order to receive high-end treatment on a thigh injury at the Fifa Centre of Medical Excellence.

However, the Eagles are understood to be disappointed in the former Liverpool defender after he was filmed handing over a Crystal Palace shirt bearing a heart with the NHS logo in the middle to famous chef, Salt Bae, at his Dubai restaurant. While Sakho will still have to isolate upon his return and while rules may be more lax than in the UK, Palace expect their players to following social distancing guidelines wherever they are in the world.

The latest incident follows club captain Luka Milivojevic's breach on New Year's Eve when the Serbian defied London's Tier 4 restrictions to part with international teammate Aleksandar Mitrovic before Eberechi Eze was pictured as a guest at former club QPR to watch an FA Cup tie against Fulham during lockdown.

Arsenal's Willian was also caught out travelling to Dubai in November last year when pictured on Salt Bae's Instagram page, with those close to the winger insisting he had travelled for business reasons.
